Die Île Grande, fast direkt gegenüber unserem Übernachtungsplatz am Strand, ist groß nur in Relation zu den vielen kleinen Inselchen und Felsen im Meer rundum. Und eine Insel (Île) ist sie eigentlich auch nicht, wegen der Brücke, über die wir sie vom Festland erreichen. Von besonderem Interesse auf der Insel ist ein Galeriegrab (Allée Couverte). Es soll aus der Jungsteinzeit / Neolithikum stammen.
The Île Grande, almost directly opposite our overnight spot on the beach, is grand only in relation to the many small islets and rocks in the surrounding sea. And it is not really an island (Île) either, because of the bridge over which we reach it from the mainland. Of particular interest on the island is a covered tomb (Allée Couverte). It is believed to date from the Neolithic period.
