Auch bei Mahmudia reichen die Berge bis etwa hundert Meter an den südlichen der drei Hauptarme der Donau, in die sich der Fluss im Donaudelta aufgeteilt hat. Auwälder prägen das Landschaftsbild am Wasser; Weiden und Pappeln dominieren. Boote sind hier die Verkehrsmittel der Wahl. Auf dem Flusslauf gehen Fischer ihrer Arbeit nach. Am Ufer zeugen Astgabeln von Anglern.
At the Danube Delta At Mahmudia, too, the mountains reach about a hundred metres to the southern of the three main arms of the Danube, into which the river has divided in the Danube Delta. Riparian forests characterise the landscape along the water; willows and poplars dominate. Boats are the means of transport of choice here. Fishermen go about their work on the course of the river. On the banks, branch forks bear witness to anglers.
