Auf dem Rückweg von Reine in den Nordosten von Lofoten fahren wir wieder um die tief ins Innere der Insel Flakstadøya reichende Bucht Flakstadpollen. Am Morgen haben wir hier schon die flankierende Bergwelt bewundert.
At the end of Flakstadpollen On the way back from Reine to the northeast of Lofoten, we drive again around the Flakstadpollen Bay, which extends deep into the interior of the island of Flakstadøya. In the morning we already admired the flanking mountains.
Am Ende der Bucht ist offenbar der Salzgehalt gering, sodass sich hier eine schneebedeckte Eisdecke gebildet hat. Den Gezeiten unterworfen sinkt das Eis bei Ebbe auf im Wasser liegende Steine und bildet bizarre „Beulen“.
At the end of the bay, the salinity is apparently low, so that a snow-covered ice sheet has formed here. Subject to the tides, the ice sinks on stones lying in the water at low tide and forms bizarre „bulges“.
