Durch einen Tunnel neben dem Wasserfall, der aus dem See Midtbotnevatnet strömt, gelangen wir an ein weiteres Ufer des Sees Blådalsvatnet. Von dort führt die Straße mit 20% Steigung(!) hinauf zum Staudamm des Sees Møsevatn. Hier endet sie und hier haben wir eine Gletscherzunge des riesigen Folgefonna-Gletschers in kurzer Entfernung. Die polierten Felsen beim Parkplatz sind offenkundig eine Art Kletter-Spielplatz für Jedermann. Eine geführte Gruppe Kajakfahrer kehrt vom Gletscher zurück. In einer kleinen Bucht hat sich gekalbtes Eis festgesetzt. Bei strahlendem Sonnenschein euphorisiert uns dieser Ort.
At the glacial lake
Through a tunnel next to the waterfall flowing out of Lake Midtbotnevatnet, we reach another shore of Lake Blådalsvatnet. From there, the road climbs with a 20% gradient(!) up to the dam of Lake Møsevatn. Here it ends and here we have a glacier tongue of the huge Folgefonna glacier a short distance away. The polished rocks by the car park are obviously a kind of climbing playground for everyone. A guided group of kayakers is returning from the glacier. Calved ice has settled in a small bay. In bright sunshine, this place euphorizes us.
