Von Naantali bei Turku sind wir mit Finnlines nach Kapellskär in Schweden (nördlich von Stockholm) gefahren. Die Fahrt durch die Schären vor Turku und durch Åland (mit Halt in Långnäs) ist am Tag kurzweilig. Außerdem ist die Tagesfahrt erstaunlich preiswert und schließt zwei Mahlzeiten vom sehr guten Buffet ein. Elektroanschluss fürs Womo gab‘s an Bord gratis, musste nur bei der Buchung berücksichtigt werden. Damit haben wir Finnland hinter uns gelassen, aber unsere Reise ist noch nicht zu Ende. Für die Rückfahrt durch Schweden und Dänemark haben wir mehr als eine Woche eingeplant.
Bei Västerås, westlich von Stockholm, gibt es ein mittelalterliches Gräberfeld mit mehreren Steinsetzungen. Anundshög ist das größte Hügelgrab Schwedens, daneben liegen weitere kleinere Hügelgräber. Uns als Betrachter beeindrucken besonders das größte Zwillingsschiff, drei weitere Schiffssetzungen und der Runenstein.
From Naantali near Turku we drove with Finnlines to Kapellskär in Sweden (north of Stockholm). The journey through the archipelago of Turku and through Åland (with stop in Långnäs) is diverting. Also the day trip is amazingly cheap and includes two meals from the very good buffet. Electricity for the camper on board was free, had to be taken into account only at the booking. Thus we have left Finland behind us, but our journey has not yet come to an end. For the return journey through Sweden and Denmark we have planned more than a week. Near Västerås, west of Stockholm, there is a medieval grave field with several stone settings. Anundshög is the bigest grave hill of Sweden, and there are other smaller grave hills. We are particularly impressed by the largest twin ship, three other ship settings and the rune stone.
