Nach dem völlig verregneten Vortag wird der Regen von trockenen Phasen unterbrochen, manchmal sogar mit einem blauen Loch in den Wolken. So gelingen einige ansehnliche Impressionen vom nördlichen Hochland.
Between the showers
After the totally rainy previous day, the rain is interrupted by dry phases, sometimes even with a blue hole in the clouds. Thus some awesome impressions from the northern highlands succeed.
Am Loch Eriboll, einer tief ins Land reichenden Bucht im Westen der schottischen Nordküste, ändert sich das aus dem inneren Hochland gewohnte Bild der sanften, grünen Hügel. Diese sind von Felsbrocken und nackten Felsen durchsetzt. Wo sich das Loch zum Meer öffnet, östlich von Durness, setzt die Brandung des Atlantik der Felsküste zu. Ein paar hundert Meter weiter wechseln die Felsen mit feinstem Sandstrand ab.
At Loch Eriboll, a deep into the land reaching bay in the west of the Scottish north coast, the image of the gentle green hills of the inner uplands changes. These are interspersed with boulders and naked rocks. Where the Loch opens to the sea, east of Durness, the surf of the Atlantic Ocean badgers the rocky coast. A few hundred meters further the rocks alternates with the finest sand beach.
