Für die Fahrt von Gorafe zur spanischen Südküste nehmen wir die Autobahn, weil sonst der Umweg groß wäre. Westlich von Gérgal führt parallel zur Autobahn die Straße AL 3407 nach Süden in Richtung Almería. Die ist in unserem Straßenatlas als landschaftlich schön markiert. Wir finden uns hier wieder in einer Art Badlands, aber ganz anders als in der Gorafe-Wüste. Hinzu kommt ein dramatischer Himmel. Die Straße ist kurvig aber asphaltiert und gut zu fahren. Das Verkehrsaufkommen ist auf dieser Route extrem gering. Und viele Plätze neben der Straße laden geradezu ein als Wohnmobil-Stellplätze, von denen einige auch genutzt werden.
Badlands north of Almería
We take the motorway from Gorafe to the south coast of Spain, as otherwise the detour would be long. West of Gérgal, road AL 3407 runs parallel to the motorway, heading south towards Almería. Our road atlas marks it as scenic. We find ourselves in a kind of badlands, but very different from the Gorafe desert. Added to this is a dramatic sky. The road is winding but paved and easy to drive on. There is very little traffic on this route. And many places next to the road are just inviting as motorhome pitches, some of which are in use.
