Finnland ist bekannt für seine vielen Seen. Zusätzlich erleben wir ganze Meere von Blüten. Straßen sind oft kilometerlang von Wildblumen gesäumt, insbesondere Lupinen. Ähnliches, aber nicht in solcher Fülle, haben wir in Neuseeland gesehen. An anderen Stellen, aber auch zwischen den Lupinen, blühen weitere Wildblumen und Kräuter. Zwischen den ausgedehnten Wäldern sehen wir in einigen Gebieten kleine und große Getreidefelder. Bei Sysmä müssen wir anhalten und Raps fotografieren, der hier und da Mitte Juli blüht.
Seas of flowers Finland is known for its many lakes. In addition, we experience whole seas of flowers. Roads are often lined with wild flowers, especially lupins. Similar, but not in such abundance, we have seen in New Zealand. In other places, but also between the lupines, other wild flowers and herbs bloom. Between the extensive forests we see small and large grain fields in some areas. At Sysmä we have to stop and photograph canola, which here and there blooms in the middle of July.
