Bourg, ca. 20 km nördlich von Bordeaux, ist offiziell eine ‚Alte Stadt‘. Das will was heißen in Frankreich, denn praktisch alle Orte, die wir hier gesehen haben, sind alt, allemal älter, als irgend ein Ort in Deutschland (Rotenburg o.T. vielleicht ausgenommen).
Tatsächlich liegt der Kern der Stadt wie eine Burg auf einem Felsen über der Dordogne. Unterhalb liegt der Hafen.

Bourg, about 20 km north of Bordeaux, is officially an ‚Old Town‘. That means a lot in France, for practically all the places we have seen here are old, always older than any place in Germany (perhaps Rotenburg excluded).
