Der Clearwater Lake, nördlich von The Pas in Manitoba, hat seinen Namen aus gutem Grund. Der See wird aus Quellen gespeist und ist daher kristallklar. 13 m tief kann man sehen. Aber er ist auch recht kalt. So verwundert es nicht, dass die Campingplätze an dem großen See schon vor Mitte September geschlossen werden. An einem Steilufer gibt es so genannte Höhlen (caves). Tatsächlich sind es Felsspalten, die dadurch entstanden sind, dass Felsen sich von den Klippen abgespalten haben.
Clearwater Lake, north of The Pas in Manitoba, has its name for a reason. The lake is spring fed and is therefore crystal clear. 13 m deep you can see. But it is also pretty cold. So it is not surprising that the campsites at the large lake are closed before mid-September. On a steep bank, there are so-called caves. In fact, they are crevices caused by the fact that rocks have split off from the cliffs.
