Gleich nordöstlich der Stadt Sebeş (Mühlbach) liegt ein ungewöhnliches Naturphänomen: Râpa Roşie (die Rote Schlucht), ähnlich den Badlands in Nordamerika. Dieses geologische Wunderwerk ist nur spärlich ausgeschildert und auf schlechtem Erdweg zu erreichen. Den abenteuerlichen „Wanderweg“ / Klettersteig in die Nähe der Wand können wir nur durch gegenseitiges Stützen, Halten und Absichern bewältigen. Insbesondere am späten Nachmittag betont die Sonne die Rottöne. Die pittoreske Location ist offenbar ein beliebter Foto-Spot für Brautpaare; sie lassen sich vor dem Abgrund mit der farbigen Wand im Hintergrund fotografieren.
The „Badlands“ of Sebeş Just northeast of the town of Sebeş lies an unusual natural phenomenon: Râpa Roşie (the Red Gorge), similar to the Badlands in North America. This geological wonder is only sparsely signposted and can be reached by a poor earth track. We can only manage the adventurous „hiking trail“ / climbing trail near the wall by supporting, holding and belaying each other. Especially in the late afternoon, the sun accentuates the red tones. The picturesque location is apparently a popular photo spot for bridal couples; they have their pictures taken in front of the abyss with the colourful wall in the background.
