Die Fährverbindung von und nach Island verläuft über die Färöer, dort ist ihr Heimathafen. Auf der Hinreise Mitte Mai hatten wir ein paar Stunden Landgang in der Hauptstadt Tórshavn, anschließend die Schiffspassage durch die Inseln. Auf der Rückreise Mitte August haben wir die Färöer noch drei Tage bereist.

The ferry to and from Iceland runs via the Faroe Islands, where there is its home port. On the outward journey in mid-May, we had a few hours ashore in the capital Tórshavn, then the ship passage through the islands. On the return trip in mid-August, we traveled the Faroe Islands for three more days.
