Gleich südlich von Tingvoll (zwischen Kristiansund im Nordwesten und Sunndalsøra im Südosten) fahren wir auf schmaler Straße an der Küste entlang nach Süden. Die ersten Kilometer sind asphaltiert, weitere sieben bis acht Kilometer Erdstraße, deren Auf und Ab jeder Achterbahn Ehre machen würde. Quasi am Ende der Welt ist tatsächlich eine kleine Parkfläche. Weiter müssen wir zu Fuß, ein paar hundert Meter nur, aber der Weg durch den Wald ist abenteuerlich schräg, teilweise glitschig. Mit einiger Mühe gelangen wir zu den Felsmalereien von Hinna. Diese insgesamt acht steinzeitlichen Abbildungen, fünf davon Rotwild, in einem Felsunterstand oberhalb des Fjordufers sind vermutlich über 4.000 Jahre alt. Es sind keine Felsritzungen sondern Malereien mit Farbe.
Rock paintings
Just south of Tingvoll (between Kristiansund in the northwest and Sunndalsøra in the southeast) we drive south along the coast on a narrow road. The first kilometres are asphalted, another seven to eight kilometres are dirt road, whose ups and downs would do credit to any roller coaster. Quasi at the end of the world there is actually a small parking area. We have to continue on foot, only a few hundred metres, but the path through the forest is adventurously sloping, sometimes slippery. With some effort we reach the rock paintings of Hinna. These eight Stone Age images in total, five of them of red deer, in a rock shelter above the fjord shore are probably over 4,000 years old. They are not rock carvings but paintings with paint.
Nachdem wir unbeschadet den Rückweg bewältigt haben, gehen wir nochmal etwa 500 m auf der Straße nach Norden. Hier führt ein noch abenteuerlicherer „Weg“ über Felsen zu den Felsmalereien von Honnhammar. Es sind Fische, die auf eine Felswand gemalt sind.
]After we have made our way back unharmed, we walk another 500 m or so on the road to the north. Here an even more adventurous „path“ leads over rocks to the rock paintings of Honnhammar. They are fish painted on a rock face.
