Von Kunming fliegen wir nach Guilin im autonomen Gebiet Guangxi. Wegen der Karstlandschaft ist es eins der populärsten Reiseziele in China. Den ganzen Tag regnet es fast ununterbrochen und wir bleiben in unserem angenehmen Hotelzimmer.
River cruise on the Lijiang River
From Kunming we fly to Guilin in the autonomous region of Guangxi. Because of the karst landscape it is one of the most popular travel destinations in China. The whole day it rains almost continuously and we stay in our pleasant hotel room.
Am nächsten Tag ist es zwar immer noch dunstig, aber es regnet nicht mehr. Wir fahren aus Guilin hinaus zu einem Schiffsanleger am Li-Fluss (Lijiang). Gegen 9:30 Uhr legen wir ab und fahren flussabwärts.
Eine ganze Armada dieser Schiffe ist hier unterwegs, außerdem Boote in allen Größen und Wassertaxis. Immer wieder kommen fliegende Händler auf Bambusflößen ans Schiff heran, haken sich irgendwo fest und bieten Snacks und Nippes zum Verkauf.
The next day, it is still hazy, but it is no longer raining. We drive out of Guilin to a ship dock at the Li River (Lijiang). At 9:30 am we set off and drive down the river.
A whole armada of these ships is here on the river, as well as boats of all sizes and water taxi. Time and time again, flying traders are approaching the ship on bamboo rafts, hook somewhere and offer snacks and bibelot for sale.
