Die alte Straße über das Fjell bei Stryn sind wir auf einer früheren Reise schon einmal gefahren, von West nach Ost, aber mit viel zu wenig Zeit und bei trübem Wetter. Diesmal, in Gegenrichtung auf der Landschaftsroute, haben Glück mit dem Wetter und die nötige Zeit, diese sensationelle Landschaft und Natur ausreichend zu erkunden. Die Straße ist selbstverständlich schmal, an vielen Stellen sehr schmal. Ab dem Mårådalen, hinter Grotli, ist es eine Erdstraße, erst auf der Gefällestrecke im Videdalen ist sie sehr gut asphaltiert. Links und rechts der Straße sind viele Nischen, die von Campern als Übernachtungsplatz genutzt werden.
Immer wieder „müssen“ wir anhalten und fotografieren: das Türkis der Gewässer, Spieglungen in den Seen und Tümpeln, Wollgras und Weidenröschen, das weite Videdalen.
We have already driven the old road over the Fjell near Stryn on a previous trip, from west to east, but with far too little time and in cloudy weather. This time, in the opposite direction on the scenic route, we are lucky with the weather and have the necessary time to explore this sensational landscape and nature sufficiently. The road is of course narrow, very narrow in many places. From Mårådalen, behind Grotli, it is an earth road, only on the downhill stretch in the Videdalen valley is it very well asphalted. To the left and right of the road are many niches used by campers for pitches.
Again and again we „have“ to stop and take pictures: the turquoise of the waters, reflections in the lakes and ponds, cotton grass and fireweed, the wide Videdalen.
