Westlich von Duncansby Head, dem Nordostzipfel des schottischen Mainland, ragt die Halbinsel Dunnet Head nach Norden und bildet den nördlichsten Punkt des britischen (und schottischen) Mainland. Wie bei Duncansby Head und Noss Head steht ein Leuchtturm auf den steil aus dem Meer ragenden Klippen. Hoy, eine der Orkney-Inseln, ist in der Dämmerung nur schemenhaft zu sehen.

At the top
West of Duncansby Head, the northeastern tip of the Scottish Mainland, the peninsula Dunnet Head rises to the north, forming the northernmost point of the British (and Scottish) Mainland. As with Duncansby Head and Noss Head, there is a lighthouse on the cliffs rising steeply from the sea. Hoy, one of the Orkney Islands, can only be seen dimly at dusk.
