Once again we got up very early to photograph a particularly attractive city in the first light of the morning: the old town of Gdańsk. All credit is due to the Polish restorers. They have rebuilt this former „pearl of the Baltic Sea“, which was in ruins after the 2nd World War, in an astonishing amount of detail. It is unbelievable what kind of wealth this city must have been home to. However, it can be seen in many places that buildings are not really old. Around the old town, new buildings are modern and yet in keeping with the historical ones.
