Die Pyrenäen sind laut Womo-Führer „ein schroffes Gebirge und bei weitem nicht so gut erschlossen wie die Alpen“. Die Passstraßen sind teilweise abenteuerlich. Viele davon sind extrem schmal und manche in schlechtem Zustand. Aber die Landschaft ist immer wieder hinreißend schön, besonders in den hohen Pyrenäen.
