In Düsseldorf besuchen wir das Museum für zeitgenössische Kunst, also Kunst des 21. Jahrhunderts, kurz das K21. Da gibt es viel Interessantes und Anregendes zu sehen.
Als Fotografen begeistert uns die aktuelle Ausstellung ‚O Mensch‘ des bekannten Schauspielers und Multitalents Lars Eidinger. Er hat einen Blick für skurrile, witzige und groteske Situationen und Vorgänge. Davon hat er viele in der ganzen Welt fotografiert oder als kurze Videos aufgenommen und präsentiert sie hier. Ohne Zweifel sind wir nicht die einzigen Besucher, die großes Vergnügen daran haben.
Bei unserem Rundgang drurch das Haus ist immer wieder das Museumsgebäude selbst ‚der Star‘. Das ehemalige Parlamentsgebäude, das Ständehaus, 1876 bis 1880 im historistischen Stil errichtet, wurde Ende des 20. Jahrhunderts bis 2001 umgebaut und erhielt eine Glaskuppel.
In the K21
In Düsseldorf, we visit the Museum of Contemporary Art, i.e. art (German: Kunst) of the 21st century, the K21 for short. There are lots of interesting and inspiring things to see.
As photographers, we are inspired by the current exhibition ‘O Mensch’ (O Human / Gosh) by the well-known (German) actor and multi-talent Lars Eidinger. He has an eye for bizarre, funny and grotesque situations and scenes. He has photographed many of these all over the world or recorded them as short videos and presents them here. No doubt we are not the only visitors to enjoy them.
On our tour of the building, the museum building itself is the ‘star’ again and again. The former parliament building, the Ständehaus, built between 1876 and 1880 in the historicist style, was remodelled between the end of the 20th century until 2001 and given a glass dome.
