Die Erkundung der Vesterålen haben wir unterbrochen und sind auf die Lofoten gefahren. Wir wollen aber nochmal wieder kommen. Für die Lofoten sind in ein paar Tagen gute Voraussetzunngen zur Beobachtung von Polarlicht prognostiziert, und ein paar Tage später soll ein Spektakel stattfinden, das wir sehen wollen. Das hat uns zu dem größeren Ortswechsel bewegt.
Zunächst müssen wir jedoch durch Schneefall, Straßenglätte und Starkwind. Sonne und blauer Himmel stehen erstmal nicht auf dem Programm. Dennoch besuchen wir ein paar Strände. In Rørvik nahe Henningsvær fließt ein Bach eingerahmt von hohen Schneemassen und dekoriert mit filigranen Eiszapfen in die Bucht. In Gimsøy steht direkt am Strand eine alte Kirche mit Friedhof.
In the snow to Lofoten islands
We have suspended the exploration of Vesterålen and gone to Lofoten Islands. We want to come back again, however. For the Lofoten Islands in a few days good conditions are predicted for the observation of polar light, and a few days later a spectacle will take place which we want to see. This has moved us to the greater change of location.
First, however, we must get through snowfall, slippery road surface and strong winds. Sun and blue sky are not on the agenda right away. Nevertheless, we visit a few beaches. In Rørvik near Henningsvær a stream framed by high snowmasses and decorated with filigree icicles flows into the bay. In Gimsøy there is an old church with cemetery beside the beach.
