From the ice cave in the glacier Breiðamerkurjökull we go back to the ring road and on it a few kilometers east to the glacier lake Jökulsárlón. The lake is so full with icebergs and ice chunks that the water is hardly visible. When the tide lowers, the current rips large quantities of it into the Atlantic. The black beach by the sea is strewn with ice blocks, which were washed up at high tide.
