Die Haupt-Attraktion von Käsmu im Lahemaa-Nationalpark ist Estlands größtes Findlingsfeld, das ihn umgibt. Das wollen wir sehen. Doch schon bei der Anfahrt stellen wir fest, dass die Zufahrtsstraße weiträumig links und rechts als Parkplatz genutzt wird. Alles deutet auf ein großes Fest hin. Am Ortseingang dirigieren Ordner die Fahrzeuge auf Parkplätze. Inzwischen haben wir unser Ansinnen revidiert. Jetzt geht es nur noch darum, das niedliche hölzerne Leuchttürmchen zu fotografieren. Immerhin reicht diese Begründung, dass wir bis hundert Meter vor den Leuchtturm fahren und dort kurz parken dürfen. Und dann sieht der Herumkommer die Festwiese am Strand: Es ist ein Volksmusik-Festival. In einem Land, das mit einer „Singenden Revolution“ seine Unabhängigkeit wieder erlangt hat, ist das mehr als Unterhaltung.
The main attraction of Käsmu in Lahemaa National Park is Estonia’s largest boulder field that surrounds it. We want to see that. But as soon as we approached, we noticed that the access road is widely used as a parking lot on the left and right. Everything points to a great festival. At the entrance to the village, stewards direct the vehicles to parking spaces. In the meantime we have revised our request. Now it’s just a matter of photographing the cute tiny wooden lighthouse. After all, this justification is enough that we can drive up to a hundred meters in front of the lighthouse and park there briefly. And then the Aroundgetter sees the festival area at the beach: It’s a folk music festival. In a country that has regained its independence with a “Singing Revolution”, this is more than entertainment.
