Karterádos is a beautiful, traditional village in an erosion valley southeast of Firá. Unlike Vóthonas, however, it has expanded beyond the area of the cave dwellings. Today, the mostly white in the sun shining village is a perfect contrast to the blue sky. It fits in that laundry shimmies everywhere in the wind. Striking is the church of St. Christódoulos with its large bell gable.
