La Trancada im Süden des Ebro-Delta war ursprünglich eine salzige Gezeitenlagune. Zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts wurde sie in eine Saline umgewandelt, später in eine Fischzucht. Die alten Strukturen sind noch zu erahnen. Jetzt ist das Gebiet ein Refugium für Flamingos und Schnepfen.
