Das relativ neue Finanzzentrum Pudong ist durch den ‚Bund Sightseeing Tunnel‘ mit dem älteren Teil Shanghais verbunden, zusätzlich zur U-Bahn. Etwa zehn Personen können ohne Gedränge in einer Kabine fahren, die rundum große Fenster hat. Langsam ist die Bahn, damit man die psychedelisch anmutende Licht- und Ton-Show auf sich wirken lassen kann, die über die gesamte Länge des Tunnels abläuft und nur unzureichend in Fotos darstellbar ist.
The relatively new financial center Pudong is connected by the ‘Bund Sightseeing Tunnel’ to the older part of Shanghai, in addition to the subway. Das 88. Stockwerk des JinMao Tower ist Aussichtsplattform. Mit dem Express-Aufzug sind wir schnell oben. Trotz Dunst wird von dort erst richtig erkennbar, dass nicht nur in Pudong die Wolkenkratzer dicht bei einander stehen, sondern auch im übrigen Shanghai. In den neuen Wohnvierteln im Dunst von Pudong entdecken wir ganze Siedlungen mit roten Dächern, andere mit grünen und mit blauen.
The 88th floor of the JinMao Tower is an observation deck. With the express elevator we are fast up. Despite the haze, it becomes clear that the skyscrapers are standing dense not only in Pudong, but also in the rest of Shanghai. In the new residential areas in Pudong, we discover whole settlements with red roofs, others with green and blue.
