One of the most important monasteries in Spain is the Monestir de Poblet, about 50 km north of Tarragona. In the Middle Ages it was a center of power, today it is a World Heritage Site.
Für uns ist das Kloster interessant, weil der große Parkplatz vor seinen Mauern ein guter Wohnmobil-Stellplatz ist. Nur ein paar Kilometer entfernt liegt die gut erhaltene mittelalterliche Stadt Montblanc mit Stadtmauern und ihren Türmchen. Am Ortsrand von Montblanc hat ein Wohnmobilhändler eine Ver- und Entsorgungsstation eingerichtet.
For us, the monastery is interesting because the large parking lot in front of its walls is a good camper pitch. Just a few miles away is the well-preserved medieval town of Montblanc with its town walls and turrets. On the outskirts of Montblanc, a motorhome dealer has set up a supply and disposal station.
