There are also hyacinths in different colours. Every year at the end of April / beginning of May they play an important role in the flower days in Anna Paulowna and Breezand. The villages are located in the ‚Kop van Noord-Holland‘ (northern end of North Holland), the largest contiguous flower bulb area in the Netherlands.

During the ‚Bloemendagen‘, around one hundred sometimes several square meters large mosaics of ‚Hyacinth’s Nails‘, the single blooms of the flowers, are standing and lying in the streets. Then old masters and comics are remarkably well ‚repainted‘ and own creations made.
