Mud Pool

The earth is boiling. It smells like sulfur. First, we see huge „soup pots“ with silver-gray pudding bubbling and overcooking. It steams from many holes. The steam blocks the view. For photographing, we are always waiting for a breath of wind that expels the steam.

english:

The mud pool of about 100 m x 150 m, lies just outside one of the largest New Zealand geothermal areas, ‚Wai o Tapu‘, southeast of Rotorua.
