Nachdem wir auf der Ruta Provincial 52 von Mendoza nach Uspallata die vielen Kurven und Serpentinen bewältigt und den Mirador del Balcón besichtigt haben, hüllt uns noch einmal eine Wolke ein. Danach ändert sich fast alles: Die Sonne kommt heraus und beleuchtet eine ganz andere Landschaft, durch die in leichten Schwüngen die Straße sanft bergab verläuft. Hinter uns scheint es, als ob die Wolke uns verfolgen will. Links und rechts der Straße türmen sich verschieden farbige Felsmassive auf. Und voraus in der Ferne steht die Wand der hohen Andengipfel.

After we have mastered the many curves and serpentines on the Ruta Provincial 52 from Mendoza to Uspallata and visited the Mirador del Balcón, a cloud envelops us once again. Then, almost everything changes: the sun comes out and illuminates a completely different landscape, through which the road gently descends in gentle sweeps. Behind us, it seems as if the cloud wants to chase us. To the left and right of the road, differently coloured rock massifs tower up. And ahead in the distance is the wall of high Andean peaks.
