Not only for the tulip blossom

The Netherlands are always worth a trip, especially to the tulip blossom. The Kröller-Müller Museum is just one example of many attractive museums in the country. Add to that lovingly preserved old towns, villages and landscapes.

Water in all manifestations characterizes the country, not least the North Sea with beautiful beaches. Large-scale technical works for drainage and land reclamation, such as polders (also historical, such as the Beemster polder), can be admired everywhere. Other attractions for every taste could be enumerated.

From the German-speaking area, the country is easily accessible and its culture is not foreign to us. In addition, there is a very good transport infrastructure (but at peak times, the traffic can be very tough, as we have experienced when traveling to Scotland). Although it is not allowed to stay overnight in other places than motorhome pitches (not surprising with the population density), official pitches, mostly chargeable, are available everywhere.

The Aroundgetter has grown up not far from the German-Dutch border, so since his youth he has been familiar with trips and travels with the Netherlands. This time we were in the country only for a few days in April, mainly in the tulip fields:
