Ungefähr zwischen Zadar und der Insel Pag liegt eine der ältesten Siedlungen Kroatiens: Nin. Sie ist berühmt wegen der Kirche Sv. Križ. Das unscheinbare Kirchlein aus dem 9. Jahrhundert gilt nämlich als kleinste Kathedrale der Welt. Wir finden aber die Altstadt von Nin insgesamt sehenswert. Unsere besondere Aufmerksamkeit hat allerdings die winzige Kapelle Sv. Nikolaj aus dem 11. Jahrhundert erregt. Sie steht außerhalb der Stadt an der Straße nach Zadar auf einem prähistorischen Hünengrab.
Approximately between Zadar and the island of Pag is one of the oldest settlements in Croatia: Nin. It is famous for the church of Sv. Križ. The nondescript church from the 9th century is considered the smallest cathedral in the world. However, we find the old town of Nin worth seeing overall. Our special attention, however, found the tiny chapel Sv. Nikolaj from the 11th century. It stands on a prehistoric megalithic grave outside the city at the road to Zadar.
