Die Altstadt von Colonia, wie Colonia del Sacramento im allgemeinen uruguayischen Sprachgebrauch heißt, ist bekannt für Oldtimer. Besonders interessant sind die Fahrzeuge aus den 1930er bis 1950er Jahren. Inzwischen sind es nur noch wenige und fahrtüchtig sind die meisten wohl nicht mehr.
