Abschied von den Lofoten
Nach rund zwei Wochen auf den Lofoten sind wir nochmal auf die Vesterålen gefahren. Die Fähre bringt uns von Fiskebøl nach Melbu. Auf der Insel Hadseløya gibt es nordwestlich von Melbu einen Rastplatz mit großem Freizeit-Areal.
In unseren Gummistiefeln gehen wir durch hohen Schnee zuerst zum felsigen Meeresufer dann zum Sandstrand, vorbei an noch rauchenden Grillplätzen. Für praktisch alles ist hier gesorgt: Tisch und Bänke, Toilette und Spülbecken; sogar Müllcontainer für getrennten Abfall stehen bereit, einschließlich Behälter für Grillreste und für Einmal-Grills. Da der Sommer nur kurz ist, wird eben auch im Schnee gegrillt. Von hier geht der Blick auf die Bergwand der Lofoten.
Farewell from Lofoten Islands After about two weeks on Lofoten Islands we go again to Vesterålen islands. The ferry carries us from Fiskebøl to Melbu. On the island of Hadseløya, there is a rest area with a large leisure field, northwest of Melbu. In our rubber boots we walk through high snow first to the rocky sea shore then to the sand beach, past still smoking grill areas. Practically everything is provided: table and benches, toilet and sink; even containers for separate garbage are available, including containers for barbecue remains and for one-time grills. Since the summer is only short, barbecue takes place in the snow, too. From here the view goes to the Lofoten mountain wall.
