Von Otta aus führt eine Straße zum Rondane Nationalpark. Bald nach dem Abzweig von der Europastraße 6 (E6) geht es in Serpentinen zügig ins Gebirge. In einer der Kehren ist ein Picknickplatz mit Tisch und Bänken eingerichtet. Es ist gerade noch Platz für unser Wohnmobil. Das steht sehr schräg, aber Teewasser kochen ist noch möglich. Die Tea Time findet draußen statt. Beim Blick über Stadt und Fluss Otta entdeckt Frau Rumkommer Boote im Fluss, deren Besatzungen in Stromschnellen über Bord gegangen sind.
From Otta, a road leads to Rondane National Park. Soon after the turn-off from the European Road 6 (E6), the road climbs swiftly in switchbacks into the mountain range. In one of the hairpin bends there is a picnic area with table and benches. There is just enough room for our camper van. It stands very sloping, but it is still possible to boil water for tea. Tea time takes place outside. Looking over the city and the Otta River, Mrs Roudgetter discovers boats in the river whose crews have gone overboard in rapids.
Von Mysuseter führt eine mautpflichtige Erdstraße noch vier Kilometer weiter bis zum Nationalpark. Hier beeindrucken die kahle Hochebene mit Berggipfeln im Hintergrund und ein von Fahrzeugen überquellender Parkplatz.
From Mysuseter, a toll road leads another four kilometres to the national park. Here, the bare plateau with mountain peaks in the background and a car park overflowing with vehicles are impressive.
