‚France Passion‚ hat uns zu einem Weingut im Haute Médoc nördlich von Bordeaux geführt: Das Château Beau Rivage an der Garonne in Macau baut seit ein paar Jahren nur noch Biowein auf seinem nur 8 ha großen Weingut an.
Beim kleinen Château sind nur zwei Wohnmobil-Stellplätze, aber bei unserem Eintreffen war erst einer belegt (die Alternative wäre ein leicht abschüssiger, steriler Betonparkplatz neben der Feuerwehr im Ort gewesen).
Ein junger Mann fragte uns in englisch mit französischem Akzent, ob wir interessiert seien, das Weingut und den Weinkeller zu besichtigen. Und ob wir wollten!
Und später bat er zur Weinprobe. Danach mussten wir unsere Staufächer umräumen.
Red wine from the Médoc
‚France Passion‚ has led us to a winery in the Haute Médoc north of Bordeaux: the Château Beau Rivage at the Garonne in Macau has been cultivating organic wine only on its 8 hectare estate for a few years.
At the small Château there are only two camper pitches, but on our arrival only one was occupied (the alternative would be a slightly sloping, sterile concrete car park next to the fire brigade in town).
A young man asked us in English with a French accent if we were interested in seeing the winery and the wine cellar. And if we wanted!
And later he asked us to the wine tasting. After that, we had to rearrange our cabinets.
