Ostsee-Steinbruch
Nördlich von Köpingsvik, hinter Alböke, führt eine Straße nach links zur nordwestlichen Küste Ölands. Bis Byrum (bzw. umgekehrt) kann man dort unmittelbar an der Ostsee entlang fahren und die Aussicht genießen. Östlich von Löttorp reicht das Kalksteinplateau Alvaret bis ins Meer hinein. Die Ostsee hat hier eine Art Steinbruch geschaffen. Die tief stehende Abendsonne lässt die Kalkplatten gelb bis orange leuchten.
Baltic Sea quarry North of Köpingsvik, past Alböke, a road leads left to the north-western coast of Öland. Until Byrum (or vice versa) you can drive there directly along the Baltic Sea and enjoy the view. East of Löttorp, the limestone plateau Alvaret extends into the sea. The Baltic has created a kind of quarry here. The deep evening sun lets the limestone tiles glow yellow to orange.
