Am Rio Minho
Bevor wir uns auf die Rückreise von Portugal über Nordspanien, Frankreich, Belgien und die Niederlande machen, haben wir noch einen schönen Stellplatz am Rand von Melgaço. Nahe dem Sportzentrum finden wir am Waldrand einen Picknick- und Grillplatz, von dem aus Wanderwege, Jogging- sowie Mountainbike-Routen markiert sind. Auf einem Spaziergang gelangen wir in wenigen Minuten zum Grenzfluss Rio Minho (spanisch Rio Miño). Der führt Hochwasser, sonst könnte man nach Spanien hindurch waten. Ende März ist nun auch hier im äußersten Norden Portugals Frühling; überall blüht und sprießt es.

Before we start our return journey from Portugal via northern Spain, France, Belgium and the Netherlands, we have a nice pitch on the outskirts of Melgaço. Near the sports centre we find a picnic and barbecue area at the edge of the forest, from where hiking, jogging and mountain bike routes are marked. A few minutes‘ walk takes us to the border river Rio Minho (Spanish: Rio Miño). It is in flood, otherwise you could wade through to Spain. At the end of March, spring is now here in the far north of Portugal; everywhere it blossoms and sprouts.
