El Escudo Pass im Schnee
Von Orbaneja de Castillo sind wir auf der Suche nach einem Stellplatz für die Nacht noch einige Kilometer nach Norden gefahren. Bei Corconte am Stausee Embalse del Ebro übernachten wir auf dem tief verschneiten offiziellen Stellplatz.
Aus einer 10 cm hohen Schneelage am Abend sind über Nacht mindestens 15 cm geworden. Wir fahren weiter nach Norden, in Richtung Atlantikküste. Die Nationalstraße 623 ist geräumt und gestreut, aber die Landschaft ist schneebedeckt, Anfang April in Spanien. Nördlich des Passes Puerto de El Escudo (1011 m) wird die Schneedecke immer dünner.

From Orbaneja de Castillo we drove a some kilometres north in search of a pitch for the night. Near Corconte at the Embalse del Ebro reservoir we spend the night at the official pitch, which is covered in deep snow.
A 10 cm layer of snow in the evening has turned into at least 15 cm overnight. We continue north towards the Atlantic coast. The national road 623 is cleared and gritted, but the landscape is snow-covered, early April in Spain. North of the pass Puerto de El Escudo (1011 m) the snow cover becomes thinner and thinner.
