El Chaltén
Hübsch eingebettet zwischen Bergen liegt El Chaltén am Zusammenfluss von Rio Fitz Roy und Rio de las Vueltas. Über dem Ort thronen die Granitspitzen Cerro Torre (3130 m) und Cerro Fitz Roy (3406 m). Der junge Ort nennt sich Capital Nacional del Trekking. Er könnte auch Welthauptstadt der Fitten und Jungen heißen oder der Backpacker.

Nicely nestled between mountains, El Chaltén lies at the confluence of Rio Fitz Roy and Rio de las Vueltas. The granite peaks Cerro Torre (3130 m) and Cerro Fitz Roy (3406 m) tower above the town. The young town calls itself Capital Nacional del Trekking. It could also be called the world capital of the fit and young or of backpackers.
