Einen schönen Stellplatz haben wir nach der Wanderung an den Klippen von Randatu doch noch gefunden. Wir sind der mäandernden Gauja ein paar Kilometer nach Norden gefolgt. Nordwestlich von Gaujiena liegt an der Straße P23 ein Bade- und Angelplatz des Sees Zvārtavas ezers. Hier verbringen wir eine ruhige Nacht. Früh am Morgen wird Frau Rumkommer wach, schaut aus ihrem Fenster und sieht: nichts, na ja fast nichts. Wir sind im Nebel eingehüllt, der vom See aufgestiegen ist. Auf diese Situation hat sie schon lange gewartet. Also: Raus aus dem Bett, Katzenwäsche, rein in die Outdoor-Kleidung und raus aus dem Womo, mit Kamera. Und sie macht einige hinreißend zarte Landschafts- und Naturfotos, während der Herumkommer noch das Bett genießt.
Summer morning fog A nice pitch we did find after the hike at the cliffs of Randatu. We followed the meandering Gauja a few kilometers north. North-west of Gaujiena at road P23 there is a swimming and fishing spot in the Zvārtavas ezers lake. Here we spend a quiet night. Mrs. Roundgetter wakes up early in the morning, looks out her window and sees: nothing, well, almost nothing. We are enveloped in the fog that has risen from the lake. She has been waiting for this situation for a long time. So: Out of bed, a cat’s lick, into the outdoor clothing and out of the camper, with the camera. And she takes some gorgeous, delicate landscape and nature photos while the Aroundgetter is still enjoying the bed.
