Ungefähr 30 km südlich unseres Übernachtungsplatzes an der Portage Bay hat der Lake Manitoba über mehrere Kilometer ein steiles, felsiges Ufer aus Kalkstein, kurz: Steiler Felsen (Steep Rock). Der Ort an diesem Uferabschnitt heißt ebenfalls Steep Rock. An mehreren Stellen gibt es Parkplätze mit kurzen Wegen zum Wasser. Wir gehen einige davon, aber der Himmel ist grau und unsere Fotos ebenso. Aber am schönsten Abschnitt kommt doch noch die Sonne heraus.
About 30 km south of our overnight stop at Portage Bay, Lake Manitoba has a steep, rocky shore of limestone over several kilometers, in short: Steep Rock. The village on this stretch of coast is also called Steep Rock. In several places there is parking with short walking trails to the water. We go some of them, but the sky is gray and our photos as well. But at the most beautiful part the sun comes out.
