In unserer Dänemark-Karte ist auf der Landspitze bei Trelde, nordöstlich von Fredericia, ein Leuchtturm verzeichnet. Den will der Herumkommer seiner Sammlung hinzufügen. Wie wir es schon an vielen Leuchttürmen erlebt haben, ist die Straße ein paar hundert Meter vom Turm entfernt für Kraftfahrzeuge gesperrt. Danach geht es nur noch zu Fuß weiter. Aber hier ist ein riesiger Parkplatz und der ist gegen 19 Uhr zu fast 3/4 belegt. Wir fragen uns, was hier los ist, am Ende der Welt?
Eine Tafel mit Übersichtskarte und Flyer in Dänisch, Englisch und Deutsch beschreiben den Park, der von hier bis zur Landspitze reicht. Es ist ein Volks-Park im besten Sinne. Am Strand des Vejle Fjord wird gebadet und gesonnt, auf den Wiesen werden verschiedene Sportarten betrieben, es wird gegrillt. Ein Spazierweg führt um die Landzunge herum und durch einen schönen Wald mit Kletterbäumen.
Der Leuchtturm ist ein enttäuschender Stahlgitterturm. Aber angesichts des herrlichen Parks ist das nicht mehr wichtig.
Our map of Denmark shows a lighthouse on the headland near Trelde, north-east of Fredericia. The Aroundgetter wants to add it to his collection. As we have experienced at many lighthouses, the road is closed to motor vehicles a few hundred metres from the tower. After that, it is only possible to continue on foot. But there is a huge car park here and it is almost 3/4 full at around 7pm. We wonder what’s going on here, at the end of the world? A board with an overview map and flyers in Danish, English and German describe the park, which stretches from here to the headland. It is a people’s park in the best sense. People swim and sunbathe on the beach of Vejle Fjord, play various sports on the meadows and have barbecues. A walking path leads around the headland and through a beautiful forest with climbing trees. The lighthouse is a disappointing steel lattice tower. But in view of the magnificent park, this is no longer important.
