Bei Redewisch (Boltenhagen), südlich der Steilküste, peitscht der eiskalte Wind die Ostsee auf und jagt die Wellen gegen das steile Ufer. Ein Holzpfahl, der etwas weiter aus dem Wasser ragt, hat eine Eiskruste angesetzt. Sogar das Geländer der Treppe, die zur Straße hinauf führt, steht heute in der Gischt und hat einen dicken Eispanzer bekommen.

At Redewisch (Boltenhagen), south of the steep coast, the icy wind whips up the Baltic Sea and chases the waves against the steep shore. A wooden pile sticking out of the water a little further has a crust of ice on it. Even the railing of the stairs leading up to the street is now standing in the spray and has acquired a thick coat of ice.
