Die Südküste von Snæfellsnes ist von schroffer Schönheit. Doch es geht noch mehr. Südlich des Snæfellsjökull ist der besonders bizarre Küstenabschnitt Þúfubjarg zugänglich gemacht. Dominiert wir er von den 75 m und 60 m hohen Lóndrangar. Es sind Überreste eines Vulkanschlots. Der Vulkan ist erodiert, nur diese Teile seines „Kerns“ stehen noch.

The south coast of Snæfellsnes is a rugged beauty. However, more is possible. South of the Snæfellsjökull the extraordinary bizarre coastal section Þúfubjarg is made accessable. It is dominated by the 75 m and 60 m high Lóndrangar. They are remains of a volcanic vent. The volcano is eroded, only these parts of its core are still standing.
