To the Lago del Desierto
From El Chaltén, a track leads north to Lago del Desierto (Desierto in the sense of deserted). The route runs first along the Rio de las Vueltas, later along the Rio Cañadon de los Toros. It takes us four hours to cover the 37 km, and the following day it takes us the same amount of time to return. We „have“ to stop again and again, marvel and take photos. At the end of the road, on the southern shore of the lake, we have a particularly quiet pitch for the night.
