Montenegro ist ein kleines Land, dennoch hat es einen fast 300 km langen Küstenstreifen. Davon sind etwa 70 km Strand. Elf Kilometer erstreckt sich südöstlich von Ulcinj der Strand Velika Plaža bis zum Bojana. Er ist nicht nur sehr lang sondern auch breit. Als wir ihn mittags erreichen, zieht ein Unwetter heran, mit Wind- und Wasserhosen sowie mit gewaltigen Regengüssen. Danach wird der Himmel wieder blau, aber ein kräftiger Wind wühlt das Meer immer noch auf.
Montenegro is a small country, yet it has almost 300 km of coastline. About 70 km of it are beach. Eleven kilometers southeast of Ulcinj extends the beach Velika Plaža to the Bojana. It is not only very long but also wide. When we reach it at noon, a thunderstorm is approaching, with whirlwind and waterspout as well as huge downpours. Then the sky turns blue again, but a strong wind still stirs up the sea.
Am nächsten Morgen hat sich der Wind gelegt, das Meer beruhigt. Sonne und ein leichter Wolkenschleier erzeugen eine sanfte Lichtstimmung. In der Ferne können wir Ulcinj und in der Gegenrichtung die albanischen Berge sehen.
The next morning, the wind has settled, the sea calmed down. Sun and a light cloudy veil create a soft lighting mood. In the distance we can see Ulcinj and in the opposite direction the Albanian mountains.
