In der Region Interlake, zwischen Lake Winnipeg und Lake Manitoba, fällt uns auf einem Feld eine kleine Ansammlung großer weißer Kisten mit Rädern auf. Sie stehen ordentlich aufgereiht, eine Reihe nach der anderen. Nur ein paar Minuten später, ein paar Kilometer weiter stehen rot gestrichene Holzhäuschen. Was mag das sein? Es folgen blaue Kuppeln, orange farbene Kuppeln mit Ecken, schließlich orange-weiße Zelte. Und es reißt nicht ab. Eine der blauen Kuppeln steht am Feldrand, sodass wir hinein sehen können: Bienenstöcke sind in den mobilen Behausungen untergebracht.
Mobile dwellings In the Interlake area, between Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba, we notice a small collection of big white boxes with wheels in a field. They are lined up neatly, one after the other. Only a few minutes later, a few kilometers further threre stand miniature red-painted wooden houses. What are they? Blue domes follow, orange domes with corners, and finally orange and white tents. And it does not stop. One of the blue domes stands at the edge of the field so that we can see inside: beehives are housed in the mobile dwellings.
