Reparaturen am Wohnmobilausbau
Wie an vielen Stellen erwähnt, sind wir sehr zufrieden mit unserem Wohnmobil, ganz besonders mit dem Ausbau, der Ausrüstung und Ausstattung von CS-Reisemobile sowie deren Service. Aber selbstverständlich waren gelegentlich auch Reparaturen bzw. der Austauch von Teilen nötig. Schließlich beanspruchen wir das Material intensiv.
Im Alter des Womo von 10 Monaten:
Außentemperaturfühler
Im Sommer zeigte das Thermometer im Infopanel permanent eine Temperatur im tiefen Frostbereich an. CS-Reisemobile hat als Garantieleistung den Fühler ausgetauscht.
Im Alter des Womo von 1 Jahr und 2 Monaten:
Glühkerze der Dieselheizung
Die Kerze war defekt und wurde in einer Wohnmobilwerkstatt als Garantieleistung ausgetauscht.
2 Monate später, beim Kilometerstand von rund 28.000:
Wieder war die neue Glühkerze defekt. Sie wurde, dieses Mal zusammen mit der Ansteuerungs-Elektronik, in einer Wohnmobilwerkstatt in Katalonien/Spanien als Garantieleistung ausgetauscht.
Repairs to the camper van conversions
As mentioned in many places, we are very satisfied with our motorhome, especially with the conversion, equipment and fittings from CS-Reisemobile and their service. But, of course, repairs and the replacement of parts were occasionally necessary. After all, we use the material intensively.
At the age of the camper of 10 months:
Outdoor temperature sensor
In summer, the thermometer in the Infopanel permanently displayed a temperature in the deep frost range. CS-Reisemobile replaced the sensor as a warranty service.
At the age of the camper of 1 year and 2 months:
Diesel heater glow plug
The plug was defective and was replaced in a motorhome workshop as a warranty service.
2 months later, with a kilometre reading of around 28,000:
Again the new glow plug was defective. It was replaced, this time together with the electronic control unit, in a motorhome workshop in Catalonia/Spain as a warranty service.
Im Alter des Womo von 3 Jahren und 11 Monaten, beim Kilometerstand von rund 110.000:
Toilettenkassette
Sechs Wochen vor Ende unserer Kanadareise brach der Schließmechanismus der Toilettenkassette, der Fäkalientank fiel aus und wir mussten improvisieren. Nach Rückkehr haben wir den gesamten Fäkalientank-Mechanismus als Ersatzteil beschafft und ausgetauscht.
Im Alter des Womo von 4 Jahren und 4 Monaten, beim Kilometerstand von rund 119.000:
Dachhaube
Einer der beiden Griffe zum Öffnen und Schließen der Plexiglas-Kuppel brach und die Kuppel hatte keinen Halt mehr. Sie mit Gewebeklebeband zu fixieren scheiterte. Schon bei langsamer Fahrt hob der Fahrtwind die Kuppel ab, sodass sie hinter das Fahrzeug fiel (glücklicherweise ohne weiteren Schaden anzurichten). CS-Reisemobile hat diese Dachhaube schon vorher nicht mehr verbaut. Die Firma konnte aber noch eine beschaffen und hat sie ausgetauscht.
Im Alter des Womo von 6 Jahren und 1 Monat, beim Kilometerstand von rund 181.000:
Bordbatterie
Ohne Anschluss ans externe Stromnetz war die Spannung so niedrig, dass die Heizung nicht mehr ansprang. In der Gel-Bordbatterie war offenbar eine Zelle defekt. CS hat die Batterie gegen eine baugleiche ersetzt.

Toilet cassette
Six weeks before the end of our Canada trip, the closing mechanism of the toilet cassette broke, the waste-holding tank failed and we had to improvise. On our return, we purchased the entire faeces tank mechanism as a spare part and replaced it.
At the ageof the camper of 4 years and 4 months, with a mileage of around 119,000 kilometres:
Roof bonnet
One of the two handles for opening and closing the Perspex dome broke and the dome no longer had a hold. Fixing it with fabric tape failed. Even when travelling slowly, the airstream lifted the dome so that it fell behind the vehicle (fortunately without causing any further damage). CS-Reisemobile no longer installed this roof dome. However, the company was able to obtain another one and replaced it.
At the age of the camper of 6 years and 1 month, with a kilometre reading of around 181,000:
On-board battery
Without a connection to the external power supply, the voltage was so low that the heater no longer started. A cell in the on-board gel battery was apparently defective. CS replaced the battery with an identical one.

Wasserpumpe
Bei den Vorbereitungen zum Start zu einer dreimonatigen Reise nach Südeuropa stellte sich heraus, dass das Schauglas (aus Kunststoff) vom Vorfilter der Wasser-Druckpumpe undicht war. Die Pumpe zog Luft und baute keinen brauchbaren Wasserdruck auf. CS-Reisemobile hatte das Teil vorrätig. Wir sind den Umweg gefahren, haben es dort abgeholt und ausgetauscht.
SOG-Lüfter
Am nächsten Tag fiel der Lüfter des SOG (Toilettenabsaugung) aus. In einer Wohnmobilwerkstatt wurde er ersetzt.

Water pump
During preparations for the start of a three-month trip to southern Europe, it turned out that the sight glass (made of plastic) of the pre-filter of the water pressure pump was leaking. The pump was drawing air and not building up any usable water pressure. CS-Reisemobile had the part in stock. We drove the diversions, picked it up there and replaced it.
SOG fan
The next day, the fan of the SOG (toilet extraction system) failed. It was replaced in a motorhome workshop.
Im Alter des Womo von 7 Jahren und 8 Monaten, beim Kilometerstand von rund 218.000:
Höhenkit / Dieselleitungen / Grauwasserschlauch
Für die Südamerikareise (mit Anden) hat uns CS-Reisemobile das Höhenkit für die Heizung nachgerüstet und die Dieselleitungen zur Heizung gegen Kälte isoliert.
Außerdem wurde von CS der Grauwasser-Auslassschlauch ersetzt, der undicht geworden war.

Toilettenkassette
Im Süden von Patagonien brach erneut der Schließmechanismus der Toilettenkassette. Wir hatten den Fäkalientank-Mechanismus als komplettes Ersatzteil an Bord und konnten ihn selbst austauschen.

Altitude kit / Diesel pipes / Grey water hose
For the South America trip (with the Andes), CS-Reisemobile retrofitted us with the altitude kit for the heating and insulated the diesel pipes to the heating system against the cold.
CS also replaced the grey water outlet hose, which had become leaky.
At the age of the camper of 8 years and 1 month, with a kilometre reading of around 233,000:
Toilet cassette
In the south of Patagonia, the locking mechanism of the toilet cassette broke again. We had the faeces tank mechanism on board as a complete spare part and were able to replace it ourselves.

WC-Außenklappe
Das Blech auf der Klappe zum Zugriff auf die Toilettenkassette / den Fäkalientank war an mehreren Stellen durchgerostet. CS hat die gesamte Klappe ausgetauscht.
Schublade
Die Schublade unter dem Kühlschrank nutzen wir für Töpfe, Pfannen und weitere Küchengerätschaft. Bei Fahrten in schwierigem Gelände führt das Wanken des Fahrzeugs gelegentlich dazu, dass diese Schublade aufspringt. Dadurch waren ihre Führungen ausgeschlagen. CS hat sie ersetzt.
Fensterrollo
Das Verdunklungsrollo des großen Fensters in der Schiebetür klemmte. CS hat es geöffnet und darin ein Kunststoffteil von einer SIM-Karte gefunden (das wir garnicht vermisst hatten).
Fensteraufsteller
Die Aufsteller des Fensters im Bad rasteten nicht mehr zuverlässig ein. CS hat sie durch neue ersetzt, die nicht nur in zwei Öffnungswinkeln einrasten sondern in beliebigen Winkeln.
Wenige Tage später:
Markise
Die Markise hat ein stattliches Gewicht. Eingefahren ist sie während der Fahrt erheblichen Kräften ausgesetzt. Dabei lässt es sich offenbar nicht völlig verhindern, dass an einigen Stellen Teile aneinader scheuern. Die Plane war an drei Stellen bis zu etwa 1 cm Durchmesser durchgescheuert. Mit Gewebeklebeband konnten diese Stellen auf der Oberseite der Plane unauffällig überklebt werden. Auf Stellen, an denen Metall auf Metall gescheuert hat, habe ich selbstklebende Möbelgleiter aus Filz geklebt.
Mückennetz
Löcher und Risse im Mückennetz in der Seitentür (Schiebetür) waren schon ein paar mal mit Nadel und Faden geflickt worden. Aber schließlich war auch das nicht mehr möglich, weil das Netz inzwischen brüchig war. Es war endgültig verschlissen. Bei CS-Reisemobile konnten wir Ersatz kaufen. Die Reisverschlüsse waren noch gut, die hat CS wiederverwendet.
Zusatzschlösser
In den sehr oft benutzten Zusatzschlössern an Schiebe- und Hecktür waren die Schließzylinder ausgeleiert, die Schlüssel gingen nur noch „widerwillig“ hinein und heraus. Darum sollten sie gegen neue ausgetauscht werden. Beim Zerlegen der Schlösser in der Werkstatt von CS-Reisemobile wurde festgestellt, dass sie insgesamt in einem Zustand waren, der den Austausch der Zylinder sehr aufwendig gemacht hätte. Also wurden die Schösser komplett gegen neue ausgetauscht.

WC outside flap
The sheet metal on the flap for accessing the toilet cassette / faeces tank was rusted through in several places. CS replaced the entire flap.
Drawer
We use the drawer under the fridge for pots, pans and other kitchen utensils. When travelling on difficult terrain, the vehicle’s swaying occasionally causes this drawer to pop open. As a result, its guides were worn out. CS has replaced them.
Window roller blind
The blackout blind of the large window in the sliding door was stuck. CS opened it and found a plastic part of a SIM card inside (which we hadn’t missed at all).
Window latches
The window openers in the bathroom no longer latched reliably. CS has replaced them with new ones that not only click into place at two opening angles, but at any angle.

Awning
The awning has a stately weight. When retracted, it is exposed to considerable forces during the journey. Obviously, it is not possible to completely prevent parts from rubbing against each other in some places. The tarp was worn through to a diameter of about 1 cm in three places. These spots could be covered inconspicuously with fabric tape on the top side of the tarp. I glued self-adhesive felt furniture glides to the areas where metal rubbed against metal.
Mosquito net
Holes and tears in the mosquito net in the side door (sliding door) had already been patched a few times with needle and thread. But finally even that was no longer possible because the net had become brittle. It was finally worn out. We were able to buy a replacement at CS-Reisemobile. The zip was still good and CS reused it.
Additional locks
The lock cylinders in the additional locks on the sliding and rear doors, which were used very often, were worn out and the keys only went in and out „reluctantly“. Therefore, they were to be replaced with new ones. When the locks were dismantled in the CS-Reisemobile workshop, it was found that they were in a condition that would have made replacing the cylinders very costly. So the locks were completely replaced with new ones.

SOG-Lüfter
Der erst 1¾ Jahre alte Lüfter des SOG (Toilettenabsaugung) war defekt. Wir haben den Lüfter bei SOG beschafft und selbst ausgetauscht.
