Nordlichter / Aurora Borealis sind besonders faszinierende Naturerscheinungen. Uns euphorisieren sie. Selbst wenn sie in klirrend kalten Winternächten erscheinen und mit kalten Händen und Füßen „einher gehen“, können wir nicht genug davon bekommen.
- Auf unserer ersten Winterreise durch Norwegen hatten wir am romantischsten Ort des Landes (auf der Inselgruppe der Vesterålen) Vollmond und Nordlicht: Zur richtigen Zeit am richtigen Ort
- Im Norden der Vesterålen-Insel Andøya hat die Lichtschau besonders lange gedauert: Nachtschicht
- Ein paar Tage danach hat das Polarlicht beim Rastplatz Akkarvika, nördlich von Hamnøya, den ganzen Himmel geflutet: Grünes Flutlicht
- Noch ein paar Tage später waren die Nordlichter besonders intensiv, wieder mit Mondschein, über dem Morfjord am Rand der Lofoten: Der Himmel tanzt

Northern Lights / Aurora Borealis are particularly fascinating natural phenomena. They euphorize us. Even when they appear on bone-chillingly cold winter nights and „go hand in hand“ with cold hands and feet, we can’t get enough of them.
- On our first winter trip through Norway, we had full moon and northern lights at the most romantic place in the country (on the archipelago of Vesterålen): In the right place at the right time
- In the north of the Vesterålen island of Andøya, the light show lasted especially long: Night Shift
- A few days later, the aurora borealis at the Akkarvika rest area, north of Hamnøya, flooded the whole sky: Green Floodlight
- Another few days later, the Northern Lights were particularly intense, again with moonlight, above the Morfjord on the edge of Lofoten: The sky dances

- Im Norden Kanadas sind die Bedingungen, Nordlichter zu sehen, besonders günstig. So konnten wir sie ohne Frost schon im August in den Northwest Territories fotografieren, am Liard Trail mitten in der Nacht: Tanzender Himmel
- Wenige Tage später erschienen sie am Frontier Trail, der Straße zur Hauptstadt der Northwest Territories, Yellowknife: Northern Lightschow
- Im Wood Buffalo National Park, dem größten Lichtschutzgebiet (Dark Sky Reserve) der Welt, sind die Voraussetzungen besonders gut, denn es gibt kein Störlicht: Dark Sky mit Farben
- Nicht immer sind Nordlichter (überwiegend) grün. Mitten in der kanadischen Provinz Manitoba haben wir es im September in rosa und lila gesehen: Lila Nordlicht
