Dem angekündigten Unwetter sind wir entkommen. Bei Lone Pine sind laut iOverlander einige gute, ruhige Übernachtungsplätze. Mal wieder sind wir überrascht und vollkommen begeistert von dem Landschaftspark, in dem diese Plätze weitläufig verteilt liegen. Die Alabama Hills Recreation and National Scenic Area mit ihren spektakulären Felsformationen breitet sich östlich der Sierra Nevada aus, die in Schnee und Nebel gehüllt ist.
We escaped the predicted storm. According to iOverlander, near Lone Pine are some good, quiet places to stay overnight. Once again we are surprised and completely thrilled by the landscape park in which these places are spread out. The Alabama Hills Recreation and National Scenic Area, with its spectacular rock formations, sprawls east of the Sierra Nevada, shrouded in snow and fog.
